While I was browsing for my next pair of denim, I found something to play in the background on Netflix. A documentary called The Elephant Whisperers. The hunt for denim became the background and the movie swallowed me up. It’s all heart and pure love amidst a very difficult life. That Oscar is well deserved for a story that needs to be heard !! Some words that stayed with me :
” we walk the forest without shoes. This is our temple and in our culture, you dont wear shoes in the temple”
“to our leader, the health of the forest is the most important administrative task”.
“we are dependent on our needs with the forest. However, we dont take more than we need from the forest, to protect her” .
