Tickets to her lecture in DC for those who can land travel.
  • My family is visiting us. I got to care for them in some small way. I got to cook for them. I got to show them around the city. I got to have some good conversations.
  • Finished reading Elon Musks biography. His work/work ethic/vision/relentlessness/ambition is an inspiration. I have started to read Toni Morrison’s work The Bluest Eye. One chapter in and I am already awe struck.
  • My group of friends from the Citizens Climate Lobby. I feel at home with them. It’s good to be surrounded by folks who live sustainably to look up to. It’s good to have folks who work for the same cause as you, around. “The lone wolf dies, while the pack survives”, G.R.R. Martin. I found a pack to run with.
  • Greta Thunberg. She has become a beacon of hope for the young, the old and for the environmentalist community. She is currently sailing across the Atlantic (to attend the Climate Summit) since she does not fly. This child is now being bullied by climate deniers who are booking transatlantic flights to go on vacations just to “stick it to the liberals”. The status quo is being challenged and the ones who benefit from the current system are pushing back. I haven’t seen this many climate scientists become active on social media to defend her and in turn become activists themselves.
